SPECIAL

PROTECTION INFORMATION

Ventilation Procedure: Provide exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep the airborne

concentrations of mist and/or vapors below the pertinent exposure limits. Oil Mist, Mineral: OSHA PEL

5mg/M

3

, 8 hours. Oil Mist, Severely-Refined Mineral: ACGIH TLV 5mg/M

3

, 8 hours.

Gloves Protection: Neoprene or Nitrile rubber gloves recommended.

Eye Protection: Safety glasses should be adequate protection. Wear goggles and/or face shield if

splashing or spraying is likely, especially if material is heated above 125°F. Have suitable eye wash

water available.

Respiratory Protection: Under normal use conditions, respirator is not usually required. Use

NIOSH/MSHA approved disposable dust/mist mask if the recommended exposure limit is exceeded.

SECTION 10.SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES

SPILL PROCEDURES: Ventilate area. Shut-off any source of ignition, flammables, fire, heat or sparks

that may come in contact with the spilled material. Wear chemical splash goggles. Wear rubber boots.

Safely stop flow of spill. Evacuate non-essential personnel from immediate area due to slipping hazard,

and/or possible fire if a source of ignition is nearby. Prevent entry into sewers, waterways. Pick up free

liquid with sand or other inert noncombustible absorbent materials and place in appropriate containers

for later recycle or disposal. If using a pump, use an EXPLOSION-PROOF pump (if possible). For larger

spills, verify that responders are properly HAZWOPER-trained and wear appropriate protective

clothing/equipment, including organic respirators or supplied air. Dike far ahead of a spill to ensure

complete collection. Pick-up free liquid for recycle and/or disposal if it can be accomplished safely with

explosion-proof equipment. This product will not float on water. Absorbent pads and similar material

can be used. The spilled material and any soil or water it has contacted may be hazardous to animal

and/or aquatic life.
